Hahn visits Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine

EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn has visited the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (PBC) to express EU support.
He wrote this on Twitter.
"I visited Ukraine's Public Broadcasting Company UA:PBC to express EU support. Independent information is key in a democracy, especially ahead of elections. This also requires adequate, sustainable financing. The European Commission will continue support, including to the new newsroom," Hahn said.
Hahn is on a visit to Ukraine on Friday, November 9. The commissioner is to hold meetings with Ukrainian government officials.
Earlier, the European Broadcasting Union called on the Ukrainian government to finance the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine in 2019 in full.
