U.S. condemns upcoming sham 'elections' in Donbas

The United States condemns the holding of sham "elections" in pseudo-republics in Donbas scheduled for November 11 and says their results will not be recognized internationally.
"We join the EU, Germany, Canada and others in condemning Nov. 11 sham 'elections' in the pseudo-republics Russia created in eastern Ukraine," the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine tweeted on Tuesday.
The diplomatic mission stressed that illegitimate elections and so-called "republics" only encourage continuation of this unacceptable conflict and will not be recognized internationally.
As was reported earlier, pro-Russian militants in Donbas slated for November 11 the so-called "elections" in non-government controlled areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
