German deputy to visit Donbas

German Bundestag deputy Frank Schwabe, the chairperson of the Socialists, Democrats, and Greens Group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be on a visit to Ukraine from October 31 to November 3 during which he will travel to Donbas, the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine has told Ukrinform.

"German Bundestag deputy Frank Schwabe, spokesperson for human rights and humanitarian aid of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) group in the German Bundestag and chairman of the Socialists, Democrats, and Greens Group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be in Ukraine from October 31 to November 3, 2018," reads the report.

It is planned that Schwabe will hold talks with members of the Ukrainian government, the Verkhovna Rada, civil society, as well as with representatives of international organizations.

"On November 1, he will make a trip to eastern Ukraine to get an idea of the situation on the ground during conversations with various international supporting organizations in Kramatorsk and on the contact line," the embassy said.
