Canadian Foreign Minister Freeland to travel to Ukraine next week
"As a further sign of Canada’s commitment to its relationship with Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will travel to Ukraine next week," the Global Affairs Canada informed.
The Canadian minister will be in Ukraine only one day - August 28. In Kyiv, she will meet with President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, and she will address the ambassadors' meeting.
"Canada continues to support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as important democratic, economic and social reforms," the Canadian Foreign Ministry said.
As part of the European tour, Chrystia Freeland will also visit Germany and France, where she will also deliver a speech.
As a reminder, Minister Freeland visited Ukraine in December 2017.
