Poroshenko had phone conversation with UN Secretary-General

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres, the president’s press service reported on Tuesday evening.
"The head of the Ukrainian state informed the interlocutor about the security situation in Donbas and raised the issue of more active involvement of the UN in the settlement of the situation in the region, in particular, through the deployment of a multinational peacekeeping mission in occupied Donbas under the auspices of the UN," reads the report.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the possible release of Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held by Russia.
President Poroshenko also expressed concern over the deterioration of the human rights situation in temporarily occupied Crimea.
