Ukrainian political prisoner Kolchenko goes on hunger strike

Ukrainian activist Oleksandr Kolchenko, currently imprisoned in the Russian Federation, has gone on a hunger strike demanding to release filmmaker Oleg Sentsov.

Head of the Agora human rights group Pavel Chikov wrote this on Facebook, referring to Kolchenko’s lawyer.

"Oleksandr Kolchenko has gone on hunger strike in solidarity with Oleg Sentsov. This was announced by lawyer Andrei Lepekhin immediately after the meeting with his client. Kolchenko wrote a letter to the head of the colony [in Cheliabinsk]. He has only one requirement: to free Sentsov," he wrote.

As reported, Ukrainian film director and a political prisoner Oleg Sentsov announced an indefinite hunger strike on May 14 with the demand to release all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia.
