Poroshenko, Merkel discuss situation in Donbas, Nord Stream 2 project

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the results of the Chancellor’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the situation in Donbas and the Nord Stream 2 project.
"President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. The Federal Chancellor informed the Head of State of the results of recent talks with the President of the Russian Federation in Sochi," the press service of the Head of State reports.
In addition, the interlocutors discussed the situation in Donbas and joint efforts to implement the Minsk agreements.
The parties also touched upon the security issues related to the construction of the Nord Stream 2.
As the Presidential Administration notes, “it was agreed to maintain a close dialogue at bilateral level.”
