Norway does not recognize Russian election in Crimea

The authorities of Norway do not recognize the Russian presidential election in the illegally annexed Crimea.
The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this on its Twitter page.
"Norway does not recognize the Russian presidential election in Crimea. Norway will continue to support the EU’s non-recognition policy [the annexation of Crimea by Russia]. #CrimeaIsUkraine," the report reads.
The statement was made following a similar statement by the French Foreign Ministry, which did not recognize the holding of the presidential election in Crimea and expressed concern over the militarization of the peninsula and deterioration of the human rights situation.
