Crimea and Donbas, which are temporarily occupied by Russia, are now the only territories in the world which are closed to the representatives of the international humanitarian missions.

First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko said this, speaking at the fourth international forum "Occupied Peninsula: Four Years of Resistance", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Crimea and Donbas are the only territories in the world that remain closed to the international humanitarian missions," she said.

According to Herashchenko, the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the missions of the Council of Europe and the United Nations cannot enter the territories which are occupied by Russia.

"And then we have such a vicious circle when the Secretary General of the Council of Europe does not recall Crimea and Donbas, the only hot conflict on the European continent, in his annual reports on human rights," Herashchenko underscored, adding that such reports are based on the information exclusively from their own mission representatives .

The parliamentarian highlighted that Ukraine should raise a harsh issue of access for the international humanitarian missions to the territories occupied by the Russian Federation.
