Integration and preparation for joining NATO and EU remain priority for Ukraine
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy said this at a joint briefing with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on Monday, February 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Integration and preparation for joining NATO and the EU remain priority for us. As for the issue of joining NATO, one of the key laws is the law on national security of Ukraine, which reforms the security field and is also necessary for joining NATO, since it brings the security system to standards of the EU and NATO. As for the EU issue, together with the prime minister, we held several meetings regarding the laws that should be adopted to fulfill our obligations under the Association Agreement, and we agreed to put them as priorities at the beginning of each session," Parubiy said.
This week, the session will begin with consideration of the laws necessary for the European integration - the draft law on limited liability companies and the draft law on capital markets and regulated markets, the speaker said.
