FM Klimkin: Ukraine to open Consulate General in Edmonton in 2018

Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that Ukraine will open new Consulate General in the city of Edmonton (Canada) in 2018.

He stated this at a joint press conference with Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We need to develop our presence in Canada. Today we have talked about the possibility of opening our joint consulate general in Edmonton next year. We are working on this issue, competitions have been already announced and logistics has been defined,” the minister said.

In addition, Klimkin noted that he discussed with Freeland the opening of a direct flight between the countries.
