PM Groysman: 5% of road fund to be spent on safety in 2018

The 2018 state budget envisages UAH 46 billion for the road fund, of which 5% will be spent on road safety.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stated this on ICTV Channel late on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. 

“We have about UAH 30 billion for roads. Next year - it will be UAH 46 billion. A total of 5% of the road fund will be used for  road road safety. This is the delimitation between the oncoming traffic, road marking, barriers, photo and video fixation, pedestrian crossings,” Groysman said.

He also added that eight people die and dozens are injured on Ukrainian roads every day.
