Ukraine unable to confront Russian aggression without international support – Klimkin
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this during the Halifax International Security Forum in Canada, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Confrontation of Russian aggression would be impossible without solidarity and international support. We began to fight with arms of the twentieth century against the Russian army equipped with modern weapons. There was a fundamental difference between our military forces," Klimkin said.
He stresses that over the past three and a half years Ukraine has been developing new armed forces. "It's not just about lethal weapons. For me, a fighting spirit is extremely important. Whenever I meet with our soldiers and officers, I always feel this fighting spirit," the minister said.
Klimkin also called on the international community to provide Ukraine with modern defense equipment.
