Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is ready to submit to parliament a bill on the creation of an anti-corruption court if a working group on outlining the main provisions of such a document is not created within two weeks.
The president's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Iryna Lutsenko, said this at a meeting of the parliament's conciliator council on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"If such a working group is not created within two weeks, and the main positions are not submitted, the president is ready to present to parliament in two weeks his version of the anti-corruption court and this bill," Lutsenko said.
At the same time, she said that the president insisted on the need to create a working group to ensure consensus in the session hall for the adoption of the bill.
"Without such a working group it will be impossible to have a consensus in the hall after this bill is put to the vote in the hall," she said.
