President: Next year we plan to increase salaries of teachers

During a meeting with education workers, President Petro Poroshenko informs on the planned increase of teachers’ salaries in 2018.
This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.
Poroshenko states that the draft state budget for 2018 provides for the allocation of UAH 520 million for improving the skills of teachers of first-graders of a new Ukrainian school all over Ukraine.
"I understand that for a successful implementation of ambitious plans teachers must be highly motivated. We found an opportunity to increase salaries of teachers in 2017. Next year we plan to further increase them. This is envisaged in the draft budget," the President informed.
The Head of State thanked teachers for their work and congratulated on their professional holiday.
