Government of Sweden ready to participate in projects on development of Ukrainian Donbas

The Government of Sweden is ready to participate in projects aimed at the development of Ukrainian Donbas.

Chairman of the Donetsk Military and Civil Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky wrote this on his Facebook page on Monday after a meeting in Kramatorsk with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Hagström and Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lidén.

"Support for reforms in Ukraine, development of alternative energy, creation of IT clusters are among priorities for Sweden. These issues were discussed during a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Hagström and Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lidén.... The ambassador expressed understanding of Ukrainian problems and willingness to take part in projects aimed at the development of Ukrainian Donbas," the head of the region wrote.

He thanked the ambassador and the Government of Sweden for the attention to the problems of Donetsk region and assured that Ukrainians appreciated the resources that Sweden invested in the restoration and development of infrastructure, as well as the intellectual resources.
