Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has visited the military unit No. 3028 of the National Guard of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region.
The Head of State wrote this on his Facebook page.
"The military unit No. 3028 of the Western Strategic and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine became one of the first units that started a fight against separatists and pro-Russian mercenaries. In early April of 2014, they liberated Kharkiv Regional State Administration from pro-Russian militants. During the anti-terrorist operation, the military personnel of this unit took part in special operations in Slovyansk, Semenivka, Krasny Liman, Yasynuvate, Lysychansk, Pisky, Vodiane, Krymske and Marinka, as well as in Donetsk airport. Ukraine is proud of such servicemen!" Poroshenko said.
