President Poroshenko welcomes signing of U.S. sanctions against Russia

In a post on his Facebook page, President Poroshenko wrote: “Congratulations on signing a new package of U.S. sanctions against Russia! As we agreed in Washington, the Congress voted, and President Donald Trump signed. These sanctions also concern the politicized Nord Stream-2 project”.

According to him, the sanctions will be in force until the full liberation of Ukrainian lands and once again confirm the strategic direction of relations between Ukraine and the United States.

As Ukrinform earlier reported, U.S. President Donald Trump signed the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, H.R.3364, which foresees a significant increase in pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
