Viktor Nazarenko appointed as advisor to Ukrainian president

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Viktor Nazarenko as Head of Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service and appointed him as presidential adviser.

President Poroshenko stated this during a speech in the Administration of the State Border Guard Service on Tuesday, July 25, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"I, as President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, received a letter of resignation from Head of the State Border Guard Service, Colonel-General Viktor Nazarenko because of a health reason," said Poroshenko.

The President also said he signed decrees on his dismissal.

At the same time, he appointed Nazarenko as a presidential adviser, and signed the relevant document.
