British Ambassador Gough: Security of Ukraine is security of Europe

British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough said this during a press conference on board of the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Duncan, which entered Odesa port on Monday with the Turkish Navy frigate Yildirim.

"Ukraine is our foreign policy priority as your security is the security of Europe, our security," the press service of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine quotes the Ambassador as saying.

Ambassador Gough expressed the hope that such visits would continue to be held in the future. "In my opinion, this is a sign of cooperation between our countries, which shows support from Britain," she said.

As reported, the ships of the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 consisting of the UK Royal Navy destroyer HMS Duncan and the Turkish frigate Yildrim will stay in the port of Odesa on July 24-27. The US and Turkish military sailors will conduct joint trainings with the personnel of the Ukrainian Navy. At the end of the visit, the military sailors will conduct PASSEX type trainings in the Black Sea.
