As of 19:00, June 11, over 1,400 of our compatriots crossed the border with the countries of the European Union without visas.

Spokesperson of State Border Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodyan informed this on Facebook.

"As of 19:00, more than 1,400 of our compatriots crossed the border within the framework of visa-free travel. 73% of them used car checkpoints for travel, 27% used air services. The majority (65%) left for the EU through the Ukrainian-Polish sector. So the visa-free regime is in effect, I congratulate everyone! Enjoy your travels!" he wrote.

The spokesperson also added that on the night of the visa-free travel, this event on the border was covered by 113 ENG crews, including almost 200 people, and he thanked the media relations officers for their patience and good work.

As a reminder, according to the Foreign Ministry, the entry to the EU on the first day of the visa-free regime was denied to five Ukrainians, two of them did not have biometric passports, and the rest exceeded the period of stay in the territory of the European Union.
