Efficient State Border Service is key element of ensuring national security of Ukraine - Poroshenko

“They are not only professional and patriotic people loyal to the state, but also those who demonstrated the best qualities due to their heroism and courage,” Poroshenko said.

The Head of State emphasized that the institution has been positively changed over the past years and noted the contribution of the State Border Service to visa liberalisation with the EU. According to him, high-quality work of the State Border Service played its role in the approval of an important decision for Ukraine - EU visa waiver for Ukrainian citizens.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the leadership of the institution for radical and resolute transformations of the past years.

“Efficient State Border Service is the key element of ensuring national security of Ukraine and, as for me, we have reached a new level,” the President said adding that the issue of efficient border service is one of the priorities in his negotiations with strategic partners of Ukraine.
