President Poroshenko: Ukraine is among leading states in space technology

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this, congratulating the workers and veterans of the rocket and space industry of Ukraine on their professional holiday.

"I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of Space Industry Workers of Ukraine and the World Cosmonautics Day. The high level of scientific-technical and production potential, participation in the international space activities and the implementation of our own space projects provide our country with a worthy place among the most advanced countries in space technology," Poroshenko said.

The President also noted that the solution of problems of national security and defense, nature management, prevention of natural and manmade disasters made it necessary to use space assets and information.
