Iryna Gerashchenko hopes for adoption of bill on protection of families of missing persons in Donbas

Iryna Gerashchenko, the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the member of the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the conflict in Donbas, has informed about development of a bill on protection of the families of missing persons.

She said this during the round table "Strategy on Donbas: foreign policy, economic and humanitarian dimensions", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Within the framework of the Minsk platform, we have developed an important bill that will bring the Ukrainian legislation regarding protection of the families of missing persons to the standards and recommendations of the Council of Europe," she said.

Gerashchenko has expressed hope that this bill will be considered in April in the first reading.
