The European Union welcomes the next step, approaching Ukraine to the visa-free regime with the European community.

The representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament write about this on social networks after successful completion of inter-institutional negotiations on draft decision to grant Ukraine visa-free regime, an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels reports.

"Welcome agreement reached between European Parliament and the Council on visa liberalization for Ukraine. Look forward to its quick adoption," European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos wrote on his Twitter page.

Polish MEP Michał Boni thanked his colleague, European Parliament's rapporteur on visa liberalization Mariya Gabriel and all EU politicians involved for their work for visa-free access to the EU for Ukrainian citizens.

As reported, the trilateral negotiations between the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament, and the European Commission on the draft legislative resolution on waiving EU visa requirements for Ukrainians were successfully completed in the European Union on Tuesday.
