France calls on Russia to ensure cessation of hostilities in Donbas

France has condemned the escalation of the situation in eastern Ukraine and called on Russia to ensure the ceasefire.
This is said in the statement released by the Foreign Ministry of France on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"France strongly condemns resumption of the armed hostilities in eastern Ukraine during the last days, as a result of which several people were injured. We call on all the parties to show restraint, especially urging Russia to use its influence on the separatists. We call for immediate ceasefire, as stipulated in the Minsk agreements," says the statement of the French Foreign Ministry.
