Ukraine urges to release 58 Ukrainians from captivity – Gerashchenko

Ukraine demands the release of 58 citizens of Ukraine from captivity on the temporarily occupied territories.

First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian representative in the humanitarian subgroup Iryna Gerashchenko said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have managed to find information on the whereabouts of 58 people, citizens of Ukraine, who are on the occupied territories," she said.

Gerashchenko noted that 52 people have been found in Donetsk, and 6 - in Luhansk.

"When there are 58 people, we can demand their release," she added.
