Slovenia becomes first EU country to officially recognize Russia’s aggression against Ukraine

Ukrinform
Slovenia has become the first EU country that acknowledged Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in a bilateral document. The appropriate mention about the Russian aggression is contained in the Joint Declaration of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor.

Spokesman for Ukrainian President Svyatoslav Tsegolko posted this on Twitter.

"Slovenia was the first EU country (Norway is not the EU member), which acknowledged Russia’s aggression against Ukraine in a bilateral document," Tsegolko wrote.

The text of the document, in particular, notes that the sovereignty and inviolability of borders of Ukraine "are key and critical to the security of all European states."
