The Justice Ministry of Ukraine will initiate the expansion of personal sanctions against Russian officials, if illegally convicted Ukrainians Oleg Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko are not returned to Ukraine.

Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko posted this on his Facebook page.

"The return [of Sentsov and Kolchenko] to Ukraine is an indispensable condition for further dialogue. If the Russian side does not do so and continues to abuse political prisoners, I will initiate the expansion of personal sanctions against Russian officials involved in this," he wrote.

The Minister added that Ukraine would continue to fight for Sentsov and Kolchenko.

As reported, the Justice Ministry of the Russian Federation refused yesterday to extradite Oleg Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko to Ukraine, claiming they are the citizens of Russia.
