President Poroshenko: Ukraine wants to join Adriatic-Baltic-Black Sea initiative

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held a bilateral meeting with newly appointed Prime Minister of Croatia, former chairman of the EP delegation to Ukraine Andrej Plenkovic on the sidelines of the European People's Party summit in Maastricht.

This is reported by the press service of the Head of State.

"Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Andrej Plenkovic on his election as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and thanked for the efforts of the Croatian diplomat at the previous post in the European Parliament," the statement reads.

The President of Ukraine expressed hope that Plenkovic would remain a true friend of our country and continue to provide Ukraine with diplomatic support.

"The parties discussed some issues of bilateral cooperation in economic, energy, and humanitarian fields. President Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine was still interested in joining the Adriatic-Baltic-Black Sea initiative, being actively promoted by Croatia," the press service informs.
