Parliament backs proposal to appoint Lutsenko as prosecutor general

The Verkhovna Rada has supported a draft resolution on the appointment of Yuriy Lutsenko, the leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, as Ukraine’s prosecutor general.
A total of 264 MPs voted in favor of this decision at a parliament's meeting on Thursday, May 12.
