Ukraine and Turkey will coordinate actions via international organizations and forums to protect human rights in Russian-occupied Crimea.

This agreement was achieved during the bilateral meeting of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Beijing in the scope of the 5th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reports.

“The foreign ministers condemned the decision by the occupation authorities to ban the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People due to the recognition of its activities as extremist. The sides agreed to coordinate joint actions within international organizations and forums to protect human rights in Russian-occupied Crimea,” reads the report.
