UWC calls for constructive solution to Association Agreement

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) welcomes the decision by the Dutch Parliament to grant the government of the Netherlands an opportunity to find an appropriate solution to the results of the recent referendum on the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
UWC President Eugene Czolij stated this, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian World Congress calls for a constructive solution that will ensure the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement for the benefit of Ukraine, the Netherlands and the entire European community,” the UWC president said.
Earlier, the Dutch voters at a consultative referendum in early April overwhelmingly rejected the ratification of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine. However, the Dutch Parliament didn’t support an initiative that calls for the government to immediately withdraw the law on ratification of the agreement.
