NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow says that the current results of Minsk agreements are poor, but at the same time they have not failed yet.

Vershbow said this in an interview with the TSN.Tyzhden TV program on April 17.

"Obviously, the international pressure, together with sanctions should be continued. Russia should understand that half measures will satisfy neither the international community, nor Ukraine,” Radio Liberty cited the interview.

“The Minsk agreements provide some consistency. And like it or not, but the restoration of Ukrainian control of the borders is one of the latest steps in the process. First, ceasefire should be established, heavy weapons should be withdrawn and political measures on decentralization should be carried out, the organization of elections in line with the Ukrainian legislation should be held under OSCE supervision,” the NATO Deputy Secretary General said.
