Ukrainian President and Swedish Premier discuss situation in Donbas

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the course of his official visit to Brussels has had a meeting with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven, the president’s press service reports.

“The President informed the Sweden Prime Minister on the recent security situation in Donbas and the state of implementation of Minsk agreements.

The sides noted the importance of strengthening unity of the European Union in the issue of sanctions against Russia and ensuring the restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders, including Crimea,” reads the report.

The significant attention during the meeting was also paid to the issue of a visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU.

The Sweden Prime Minister positively appraised the progress of reforms in Ukraine and assured of further support from the side of his country.
