Date of Dutch referendum on EU-Ukraine Association appointed

Referendum on Ukraine-EU Association Agreement is to be held in the Netherlands on April 6, 2016.
The referendum will be autonomous; it will not be held together with voting on other issues.
The Dutch electoral council took a relevant decision, the council’s website reports.
“The government should review the Agreement on Association, if the turnout is less than 30% at an advisory referendum. The result of referendum is of an advisory character and doesn’t have obligatory force,” according to the electoral council.
Only Dutch nationals aged 18 plus will be able to vote in the referendum.
