Moscow deploys its troops for ground combat in Syria - Turchynov
NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov told reporters at a National Guard training center outside Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
"Russia can not hide today that they suffer losses in Syria. Not only they are bombing Syrian cities and regions, they also face losses of personnel. This means that there are engaged in direct ground combat operations involving the Russian military forces," said Turchynov.
The NSDC Secretary noted that, according to the Ukrainian intelligence information, Russia is actively conducting a recruiting campaign among rebels in the Donbas zone for their subsequent redeployment to Syria in order to participate in combat operations: "To recruit professionals to kill, just such type of professionals the Russian military needs today."
