Elections in Donbas possible only if troops are withdrawn - President

Kyiv will to hold elections in Donbas, only if foreign troops are withdrawn from this territory.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this in an interview with the BBC Newsnight program on October 9.
“The only thing we need is that foreign troops be taken away from this territory,” he said.
According to Poroshenko, the Ukrainian parliament is ready to consider peculiarities of elections in Donbas.
“We have 1.5 million internally displaced persons, who were forced to leave the territory because of the Russian aggression, and we in the democratic society must give them a chance to vote,” Poroshenko said.
