Aidar battalion members block Defense Ministry premises

KYIV, February 2 /Ukrinform/. Fighters of the 24th assault battalion Aidar have blocked traffic movement on the Povitroflotskyi Avenue in Kyiv in both directions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Several dozen soldiers of the battalion are picketing the Defense Ministry premises, which is located just near the avenue. A huge traffic jam has been formed.
The entrance to the Ministry has been blocked by tires. Earlier, the tires had been set on fire, but they were quickly extinguished by security forces officers.
According to the Aidar fighters, they continue to protest against the dissolution of the battalion and introduction of some organizational changes in the battalion because of the loss of its seal.
