Turchynov condemns beating of Tsariov, Dobkin

KYIV, April 15 /Ukrinform/. Acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov condemns the beating of presidential candidates Mykhailo Dobkin and Oleh Tsariov.

He said this on Tuesday at the Verkhovna Rada, commenting on the remarks by MP Nestor Shufrych regarding the inadmissibility of acts committed on Monday.

"I appeal to all citizens - the blocking of any presidential candidate is against the law. And regardless of likes or dislikes, we must hold fair elections, which will be recognized worldwide. Therefore, I urge everyone not to prevent making statements by presidential candidates," Turchynov said.

At the same time he asked the presidential candidates not to violate the laws of Ukraine, in particular, not to distribute separatist provocative statements disturbing society and work in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
