SZRU chief urges foreign secret services to help stabilize situation in Ukraine
KYIV, March 5 /Ukrinform/. Chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SZRU) Viktor Hvozdyk urged foreign partners to join efforts to stabilize the situation around Ukraine.
He has said this at a press briefing for official representatives of foreign intelligence services accredited in Ukraine, SZRU spokesman Oleksandr Skrypnyk told reporters on Tuesday.
"The priority direction for SZRU cooperation with foreign partners, according to Hvosdyk, is stabilization of the situation around Ukraine, as well as the formation of a secure international environment," Skrypnyk said.
At the same time, he added that Hvozdyk focused on the fact that Ukraine is ready to defend its national interests, "using all legal methods and means, including the military ones."
"The SZRU chief informed head of security services of the SZRU's position amid real threat to the territorial integrity of Ukraine due to the actions of the foreign side and assured that the policies of the new government of the state and all subjects of national security do not contain any threats to foreign interests," Skrypnyk noted.
He added that the head of the intelligence agency confirmed his readiness to organize contacts with representatives and expert groups of partner secret services "at any time, both in Ukraine and abroad."
