Tymoshenko's daughter insists on urgent operation for her mother
KYIV, July 1 /Ukrinform/. Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who undergoes treatment in a special guarded unit of Kharkiv's Ukrzaliznytsia central clinical hospital, is in urgent need of surgery, Tymoshenko's daughter Eugenia told reporters nearby the hospital on Monday.
"If the operation is not carried out in a short time, it is impossible to predict the further development of the state of my mother, which is now critical. She cannot even walk with a walker. Disability is not excluded," Eugenia noted.
According to her, doctors from the German Charite clinic also stress the need for immediate surgery after they examined Tymoshenko and set the recurrence of back pain, which is associated with a hernia.
"Our family trusts Ukrainian doctors, but is aware of the fact that the Ukrainian specialists are under heavy pressure. Relatives insist that the operation was carried out by German doctors from the Charite clinic, and where conditions are provided," Eugenia added.
As Ukrinform reported, on June 15 Yulia Tymoshenko's defender Serhiy Vlasenko said that the health of the former prime minister deteriorated sharply. Meanwhile, June 17 Ukrzaliznytsia chief doctor, Prof. Mykhailo Afanasiev said that Tymoshenko's condition was "not threatening".
