Russian prosecutors: Russia to continue to return Berezovsky's assets
KYIV, March 25 /UKRINFORM/. Russian Prosecutor General's Office will continue its work to return to Russia the assets of Boris Berezovsky, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Aleksandr Zvyagintsev told reporters on Monday, a Moscow-based UKRINFORM reporter says.
"During criminal investigation, Berezovsky was involved as an accused of committing a number of serious economic crimes as part of a transnational criminal group. Since the Russian Criminal Code provides for the confiscation of property for the organization of and participation in a criminal group, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia will continue actions to return to our country assets, criminally acquired by Boris Berezovsky and his accomplices and legalized by them abroad," Zvyagintsev said.
As reported, Berezovsky's body was found in his home in Ascot, near London on Saturday.
