Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine: Ukrainian bloggers bought Vlasenko at $5mln?
KYIV, October 25 /UKRINFORM/. A video footage allegedly shot by Ukrainian bloggers has appeared on the Internet: here the authors of the idea met with the Ukrainian opposition members, offering money to fight "with the regime". The only man who agreed to accept the assistance looked like a lawyer of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Serhiy Vlasenko, at least it follows from the video shot by the bloggers. Meanwhile, spin doctors call the video recording a classical mud-slinging, says Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine.
"The talks were held with Tymoshenko's lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko, Svoboda leader Oleh Tyahnybok, Arseniy Yatsenyuk's assistant Iryna Bochar, UDAR party member Oleh Shamshur. All meetings and phone conversations were recorded by camera, sometimes by a hidden camera - these entries have been posted on Youtube”, reads the article titled "Tymoshenko's lawyer got on the bloggers' hook?".
Interestingly, the newspaper writes that Shamshur, Ukraine's former ambassador to the United States, was indirectly familiar with the senator the bloggers acted on behalf of. He confessed about it during a telephone conversation. Yatsenyuk's representative allegedly forwarded the "American guests"... to the U.S. Embassy. Oleh Tyahnybok, having specified all the trerms, refused to cooperate.
"Actually only a person resembling Vlasenko agreed to accept assistance - at least from the video footage it follows that he had several times changed the terms of negotiations (he negotiated a meeting in the U.S. and Europe), but after that he proposed to give him the money through an intermediary - a director of a commercial bank," says KP.UA.
Spin doctors call the video recording a classical mud-slinging. They believe the aim of the footage is to downgrade Batkivshchyna's ratings and personally its leader, however, immediately note: Ukrainian voters don't care about that.
Representatives of the political parties, whom the bloggers talked to, are commenting on the scandal reluctantly.
Vlasenko himself has not picked up his cell phone at all. In Batkіvshchyna, Serhiy Sobolev and spokesman for the party, MP Oleksandr Sochka, answered the KP.UA question. The first called the video "trumped up". And the second said he was expecting something like that.
