Azarov: Government to continue introducing high European standards in all spheres of life

KYIV, March 30 /UKRINFORM/. The initialing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement marks the completion of five years of talks and is an important step towards the establishment of new contractual framework for relations between Ukraine and the EU.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced this on Friday, according to the media liaisons office of the secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"The next task is to ensure the speedy preparation of the agreement for signature," reads the statement.

The Ukrainian government, in turn, will continue to implement systemic reforms aimed at introducing high European standards in all spheres of life in the country, he said.

"I express my sincere gratitude to all participants in the talks, both from Ukraine and from the EU, for their professionalism and commitment to achieving constructive results," Azarov said.
