Ekotechnik Praha to build solar power plants in Vinnytsia
KYIV, January 19 /UKRINFORM/. The group of companies Ekotechnik Praha and its Ukraine-based enterprise Ekotechnik Ukraine plan to start the construction of solar power plants in Vinnytsia region (western Ukraine). The Czech investors began their activities with Lityn district.
Allocation of a land area of 99 hectares in the territory of Kozhukhiv and Shevchenko rural councils is being considered. Investors predict that this year a 54 MW solar power plant will be built there to produce 62 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. The first unit of 1 MW could be ready by early summer.
'Crystalline ceramics' type panels of Ukrainian origin will be used in the construction effort. Total construction cost will exceed 100 million euros. However, investors assure that, if the Lityn project is a success, they are ready to invest in the region much more - over 500 million euros.
