Klimkin informs French foreign minister of Russia's deliberate destabilization of situation in Donbas

The Minister said this at a briefing on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We observe a real worsening of the situation in Donbas with a lot of shelling and casualties. Russia deliberately destabilizes the situation. I keep in constant contact with my colleagues within the Normandy format, the French and German foreign ministers. Yesterday I had a detailed conversation with the French foreign minister and informed him of the deliberate escalation on the part of Russia," Klimkin said.

He noted that Ukraine would do everything possible to reduce the security escalation and, if possible, to make progress in freeing the hostages.

The Foreign Minister of Ukraine also thanked Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter for humanitarian assistance to the residents of Mariupol, which he provided during his visit to Donetsk region.
