Turchynov: Visa regime with Russia should be introduced as soon as possible

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said this in his comment to journalists before the start of the Sixth National Prayer Breakfast in Kyiv, the NSDC press service reported.

"To my great regret, this issue is still not resolved. This issue has not just ripened but overripened, it should be solved as soon as possible," Turchynov said.

He has noted that it is necessary "to protect civilization from the Russian aggression".

"We will have an open entry to Europe, and we should strengthen the defense of the eastern border to protect civilization from the aggression of the Russian Federation, from the penetration of hybrid provocative technologies of the Russian Federation to the West. It was Ukraine who crossed Russia's path, perhaps, it is our historic mission," the NSDC Secretary stated.

At the same time, he has noted that if this decision will be taken by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Government should work out the ways to implement it.
