Dutch Senate to vote on EU-Ukraine Association Agreement ratification on May 30 – Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at the press conference on Sunday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Now we are awaiting the completion of the Association Agreement ratification... May 23, the Senate of the Netherlands opens the debate, and a vote will be held on May 30... We very much hope that it will be positive for Ukraine, for the Netherlands and for Europe," Poroshenko noted.

The President also recalled there had been a "difficult discussion" about the ratification of the Agreement in the Netherlands, the referendum had been held, and skeptics even offered to agree to a partial application of the agreement on deep and a comprehensive free trade area.

"However, I am grateful to our partners who have found an opportunity to do everything possible to make the Association Agreement work in full," the Head of State said.
