KYIV, November 12 /Ukrinform/. According to a survey conducted by GfK Ukraine in October, 45% of Ukrainians want the signature of an Association Agreement with the European Union. Meanwhile, accession to the Customs Union is supported by only 14% of those surveyed.
The company said this in a press release available on its official website.
"45% of respondents believe that Ukraine should sign an Association Agreement with the EU, only 14% among Ukraine's integration options chose the country's joining the Customs Union, 15% advocate the position that Ukraine should not enter into any alliances," sociologists note.
At the same time, among those who have a clear position regarding the choice of Ukraine, 54% believe the country should sign the Association Agreement with the European Union, and in the future become a full member of the EU, another 8% say it should sign the agreement, but not join the EU.
People with higher education want the EU more. Supporters of European integration as a whole share EU values, aimed at improving social life, from the refusal of bribes and ending with the implementation of parking regulations and compliance with the permitted speed on the roads.
The poll also found that almost half (48%) of those surveyed are not prepared under any circumstances to allow a person with different sexual orientation not to hide it.
The survey also found that the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU is supported by 47% of Party of Regions voters, 70% - supporters of Batkivshchyna Party, 63% - UDAR Party, and only 2% - Communist Party of Ukraine.
The survey was conducted October 2-15, 2013.
